The Old South meets the New South. This Civil War Rebel flag flew over a Civil War cemetary in downtown Charlotte until 2004. After reading about it in the paper, I knew the flag wouldn't be flying much longer and went to see if there were any interesting pictures. When I saw it flying with the Bank of America Corporate Center in the background, the juxtaposition was striking. (scanned print)
